The element is produced using stainless steel woven wire mesh or stainless steel fiber felt, which are stacked in multiple layers and metallurgically bonded through a controlled vacuum sintering process.

This sintering process permanently fuses individual metal layers into a unified porous structure, ensuring consistent pore geometry and eliminating the risk of layer separation during operation. After sintering, the filter medium is formed into a cylindrical candle shape and welded at both ends to provide mechanical reinforcement and reliable sealing. A rolling seam welding process is incorporated to enhance concentricity and straightness, allowing the candle filter to maintain dimensional stability under pressure and thermal cycling.

The candle-type geometry provides a large effective filtration area within a compact footprint, making it especially suitable for systems with high flow demand or limited installation space. The interconnected pore channels allow fluids or gases to pass through smoothly while capturing contaminants within the depth of the sintered structure. This depth filtration mechanism results in high dirt-holding capacity and stable differential pressure over extended service intervals.

Compared with conventional wire mesh elements, the sintered candle filter offers superior mechanical strength, improved resistance to deformation, and more stable filtration accuracy. Unlike ceramic or brittle powder-based filters, it tolerates vibration, pressure fluctuations, and thermal shock without cracking or performance degradation.

Manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel or titanium, the sintered candle filter element performs reliably across a wide temperature range from −200 °C to 1000 °C. Its metallic construction supports repeated backwashing and regenerative cleaning, allowing contaminants to be removed effectively while preserving pore structure and filtration efficiency. This regenerability significantly extends service life and reduces operating and replacement costs.

The sintered candle filter element can be supplied in multiple structural configurations, including single open end and double open end designs, O-ring sealed versions, flanged constructions, and candle filters with integrated connectors for direct system installation.
